Guess who finally got wheels??
Also, Hi did y’all miss me? I missed you!
I have so many exciting things to tell you so let’s get to it. Haven’t wrote since November so it’s been a few months. Let’s start with my birthday, I spent it with my Roey family. It was such an amazing birthday and I am very thankful to have met so many lovely people. Christmas Eve I bought a car!!!!! Her name is ROO! She’s lovely. I will post some pictures a bit later. Christmas Day, Roey was closed so we had a company party. NYE I just worked, so nothing too exciting. Was a bit weird not seeing fireworks! Oh and I finally moved out of dorm living 🙂

Let’s first talk about Roo the Subie. She is my favorite car I have ever had so far. I am slowly starting to get her ready for a roadtrip. Which I do have a bit of bad news but I am OKAY so that’s all that matters. I got in a little wreck last week, yes in my new car. Poor baby. She is also okay & so is the lady that I ran into. Yes, you read that correctly. My first ever time hitting someone else. I was torn up to say the least. So many people have told me that you don’t need insurance because of rego here. Sadly found out that covers the other person, not their car. So I will have to pay out of pocket, which I don’t have. The only damage it did was dent her tailgate in. She has gotten a few quotes for $5k and higher. Apparently it’s Broome tax because we are up where they can charge that much. I finally do have insurance now, which is a bit late but will save me for future. Praying nothing else happens!!! Genuinely just trusting in God because I will have a panic attack if I don’t.

Next things, I have officially been living in a house for 2 weeks now!! NO MORE HOSTEL LIVING!!!! I could cry… again. I got very lucky and have a wonderful friend who allowed me to move into her spare room. So I have 2 human roomies, 1 dog, 4 cats, house is full of love. It has felt so good living in a house. I haven’t lived in a house since I lived with Erin back home. I have a bathtub, so I can take a bubble bath whenever I want. Having an actual kitchen again has been game changer. Living away from work has been a game changer. I am just a happy girilie. I will say that walking to work or living 4 minute drive has made me a bit of a princess. I can’t imagine going back to driving more than 10 minutes to work haha. I have also signed up for the gym & have felt so happy to be back at it.
Having a car has been amazing again. I enjoyed the freedom of having no car but now I enjoy the freedom of having one again. I can’t believe I went a whole year without one. I have been to the beach nearly every single day since having one. I will be staying in Broome for a bit longer than planned because of the wreck, plus I still have about 5 months left of my regional work. So I figured I might as well stay & save up as much as I can.
That’s about it for Kelsey’s life update.
For some reason it isn’t allowing me to post any more pictures at the moment so I will add a bunch to the next blog post. I am currently on my way to the beach to spend a bit of time remembering my girl Irene. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since she’s been gone..
