I have been so busy for the past month. I will be able to update more often now that the tour is over. It’s honestly so hard to say bye to the people you’ve spent every day with for the past month. Met some amazing people on this tour. It’s very rare for 23 people to actually get along for a full month. Let me tell ya about the last few days :

Magnetic island

Magnetic Island was a dream. I truly enjoyed it. It is a very small Island but absolutely stunning. I took this time to detox my body from alcohol. My social battery was in the negatives at this point. I know you’re like but kelsey, you just said that you had the best month with amazing people. Yes, I know but after going from living with your best friend for 5 years to being around 23 people straight, it was very socially draining.

Most of us rented cars while on Maggie island. I got to drive more on the left side of the road so I feel like I am a pro at this point. Laura said she felt super comfortable with me driving. That’s a plus in my book! We literally drove around the tiny island from 11am-6pm. Just driving around having a blast. Girls day was perfect. Cairn’s aka CANS

I’ve went to Airlie beach, magnetic island & Cairn’s on my trip in 2023. So it was fun to go back again with a different group. We got to our hostel around 10pm on Friday night. Every one of us got ready in less than an hour & went out. That night was fun because we all just danced the night away. I will say the way WTT planned our final few days was kind of crap. I didn’t book any extra excursions but most everyone else did and they didn’t let them know it would be an ALL day thing. So we didn’t really get to hangout much the last few days. I just kept it chill Saturday and Sunday. Sunday night I had an interview at Gilligan’s!! I’ll let ya know how that went below. Monday everyone went to the Great Barrier Reef & I didn’t feel like it. I probably should’ve because it was our last day as a group together, but I had already been before. I ended up meeting my friend Bryce, his girlfriend & their friends to watch the Super Bowl. His friends are my new co workers. Yes I finally got a job!!! For the Super Bowl the guys were playing a game whenever they showed Taylor Swift on the screen you had to drink half your drink. Let’s just say that it didn’t end well but it was so fun. After the Super Bowl I went back to the hostel & took a nap until the rest of my group got back from the reef. Then we all had our farewell dinner, made a few speeches, Liv & Becca gave out awards. It was such a bittersweet night. I got “most likely to get arthritis” because I pretty much braided every single girls hair the past month. I didn’t mind it though because I do miss doing hair (Not enough to go back to doing it, just for fun!!) I was still hungover so I went to bed early sadly. Mostly everyone left Australia which I’ve been in their shoes and I know that sucks. Which is why I am back 😉

Some of us went to Uncle Brian’s over night tour. Two days of exploring rain forrest & beaches & all that fun stuff. It was absolutely worth it, I am glad I decided to book it. Quite a few people from my group are staying in Australia so I know I will see them again. I added the website to uncle Brian’s tour on the picture of me at the waterfall. It is slightly different on the website than what we did just because of the cyclone that happened a few weeks ago.

Me, Daisy, Callum, & Martin got an airbnb together for the next two weeks. It felt soooooo good to unpack!! I am not fully unpacked because there isn’t a dresser, most clothes are still in the packing cubes but they are out of my suit case. This airbnb is a little apartment definitely not the best but not the worst either. Us 4 are talking about rooming together so this will be a good test to see if we can handle each other haha. I start work on Saturday so I will be taking these next two days to do absolutely nothing but rest. Post tour relaxation. We all went grocery shopping today & I meal prepped. I can’t wait to get back into the gym again full time. I can’t wait to fill you guys in on my new job!! Bartending of course. Second year visa here I come!!!

PS: Did I mention that my baby sister had her beautiful baby BOY? Look how adorable he is. Olivia if you’re reading this, dad would be so proud of you. You’re going to be such an amazing momma. Can’t wait to meet him one day. (No I’m not crying while typing this..)
