It’s been a week since I last posted. I’ve visited two places since I last wrote. Let’s start with Surfer’s Paradise. This place reminded me so much of Miami. I wasn’t a huge fan of surfers to be honest. I’d go back for a little weekend trip maybe but definitely couldn’t live there. The same group I roomed with in Byron somehow managed to be with each other again in surfers. Callum ended up being the only boy. He’s like the little brother of the group. Then in Brisbane we got to pick our room so we just did the same group plus Martin.

I did visit Burleigh Heads for a few hours & could for sure see myself living near there. I would love to go back to Burleigh and look around that area for a few extra days. I ended up meeting up with my friend Leah who I met my first week in Sydney. I also finally made it back into the gym since being off for a little over two weeks. Let me tell ya it felt SOOO good to be back. I have a membership to anytime fitness but they didn’t have one near me in surfers so I tried world gym! Here are just a few pictures from my time in surfers.

BRIZZZYYYY (Aka Brisbane)

I will say for Brisbane being mainly city, I do really like it here. The only thing is they aren’t near a beach. They do have a man made beach. It’s pretty much a pool with sand! We’ve had quite a bit of free time since being away from Byron. I enjoy how this tour is semi guided because it gives us more free time. Unlike my tour from last year where it was fully guided with barely any free time. By the end of that tour we were just way too exhausted.

While being in Brisbane I got to meet up with a few more friends. I met this girl named Emily last year in Nashville. I am actually going to the CMC festival in march with her and her friends! We started a group chat a few months back. So I finally got to meet all of the girls we are going with. They’re such an amazing group of people so I am very excited for that music festival. We will be camping!! A bunch of Aussie cowboys around? yes PLEASE. HA! Then I got to meet up with my old roomies from Bondi. Bex & Kian, who I was roomies with for 2.5 weeks at wake up! We went to dinner & just had a wholesome catch up.

I will seriously miss this hostel we are staying in right now. It’s Bunk Brisbane. Our room was on the top floor but it had a stairway up stairs with a bathroom inside as well. I do wish there was one more toilet in the room or at least on the floor. The beds were so comfortable & very spacious.

Next stop is Noosa!!! Which I am also VERY excited for. I have heard nothing but great things. I cannot wait to show you guys this next hostel. It looks STUNNING!

I am not even going to lie, I am having a very hard time with the fact that it’l be a year next week since Irene has been gone. I am trying not to let him win by taking over my emotions, but I am struggling y’all. It’s just going to be hard being so far away from home for stuff like that. But it’s apart of it.
