Almost two weeks in

It’s been a week since I’ve updated y’all. I do apologize!

Flash back to last Friday!!

We had a 9 am wake up call because we had two little meetings this day. Welcome to travel was soooo good to me. It’s this travel company that will help you set up your bank account, SIM card for your phone, tax file number, and more. They have many different tours as well. I did this welcome to Sydney one for a week! I’ll be doing their 30 day east coast tour next month. During our two little meetings we went over travel and employment which was so helpful. I knew a lot of it because I’m crazy and did A LOT of research. After that we went to Bondi beach for a few hours. For lunch we went to Salty’s and I had their Baja fish tacos via Chloe’s recommendation. They were delicious as well as their margaritas. If you ever find yourself in Bondi definitely check out Salty’s.

Saturday

Everyone had their one on one meeting while I had a quiet morning. I didn’t do the one on one because it was all about travels after. I already had everything planned so I didn’t feel like it would benefit me any. I took this opportunity and just chilled out until everyone was ready to meet up. A few of us went to the little markets but it was just way too hot to enjoy it. We won our TikTok challenge so we won pre drinks. The champagne was quite delicious. After pre drinks we headed off to our first bar of 3. We did a bar crawl and this one ended up being so fun. Everyone stayed out until midnight to wish me happy birthday. It was such an amazing feeling honestly. Shortly after the clock hit midnight we all went back home.

My birthdayyyyyyy

Our last day together as one big WTT family. Started out by heading to the park for a bbq, which did not happen sadly. After we put the uncooked food on the grill we found out that the grill wasn’t working. So Chloe (our tour guide) went to plan b and got us pizzas. Everyone asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday and I said I just wanted to go to the beach. Considering I’ve never gotten to celebrate my birthday in the summertime that’s all I wanted. Everyone went and did their own thing for a few hours while I napped. It was lovely. Then I finally made it to the beach to watch sunset. Realized quickly that sunset isn’t as enjoyable here as I thought it would be. At least not on Bondi beach because it sets in the opposite direction sadly. It was still such a beautiful and peaceful night on the beach so I can’t complain. We all decided to head home early, well so we thought. We all got lost & didn’t end up getting back home until about two hours later. In the moment we were all ready to be home so we didn’t find it too funny. Looking back on it now I just can’t help but laugh. This is why 7 people shouldn’t have 7 different mapping apps. It’s fine. We’re fine. We made it.

Beach bdayyyy

Monday

I ended up starting my week with a doctor’s appointment. I honestly would’ve been fine with not going but I just wanted to make sure I didn’t have to amputate my foot. I did get bit by something at surf camp that previous Wednesday. It ended up swelling up and had a giant bruise on it as well. Needless to say that I would’ve died in like 4 hours if it were venomous. After I left the doctors I went to the park for my new friend Charlotte’s birthday. Hung out at the park for a few hours then went and had a drink at the opera house bar. Such a wholesome weekend. Thankful for all of these people for making my first week amazing.

Tuesday

We all went our separate ways. Some went up the east coast, some went to Melbourne, some went to the mountains. Then I headed to Bondi beach.

It is now Friday 11 am here, I will update you about the rest of my night Tuesday later. I am going to grab food & do the coastal walk again. Catch ya later

Xo
