HELLOOOOO,

way overdue for a new post.

My apologies.

I am in fact still in the same hostel that I was complaining about months ago. It is such a crappy hostel, what the owner is charging is absolutely ridiculous. The only reason I am here is because of the people. I just keep telling myself it’s only temporary. I have also accepted the fact that I’ll be living out of a suitcase and in hostels probably my whole first year of being here.

I am still working at Freo social, which I LOVE. All of the managers & staff are amazing. It’s a good place to work for. I first handed out my CV 2 months to Honky Tonk Blues & didn’t hear anything back. So then I got the job at Freo social! Guess who reached out last week for a trial shift? Honky tonk. I am now working at both. I am trying my best to save but it is so hard to be quite honest. I am not making nearly as much as I was back home. Which is fine but it just sucks because I can’t really save. Hoping to save up by end of July early August that way I can buy a cheap car to get me up north. I have to go up in August to complete my 88 days. It’ll all work out.

Last Thursday I went out with some of my friends from the hostel & ended up going home early because I slammed my finger in the bathroom door. Y’all when I tell you it looks like a small brain is coming out of my finger, I’m not being dramatic. Okay, maybe a little but it looks pretty bad. I went to the doctor the next morning for him to just clean it & bandage it. I did get a tetanus shot luckily. He didn’t give me after care instructions or anything. Needless to say I will not be going back to that doctor. Anna has been my saving grace this past week helping me take care of it. I am praying it heals soon so I can get back to normal. It’s my pointer finger on my right hand, ouch. Work has been so nice about checking on me to see how I am doing throughout the shift. I’ve left early the past few times just to get rest because it hurts so badly but ya girl can’t save up leaving early.

A few weeks ago my friend Marie from Germany came to church with me. It was such an amazing day. You could tell how much she needed it. She actually got baptized at a church on the east coast earlier this year. I am so sad that she’s no longer in Australia. It was nice to have a friend from the hostel go to church with me!!
